Foreign Language in a Global World: Challenges of Academic and Research Communication


The course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge required for successful communication in a globalized setting. In today's interconnected world, effective communication is paramount for engaging in academic, research, and professional interactions across linguistic and cultural boundaries. Upon completion of the advanced training programme, learners will be able to:

- possess the ability to effectively utilize their foreign language skills acquired from previous education levels;

- be adept at preparing and editing professional-oriented texts, as well as confidently presenting their own and established scientific findings in public settings;

- demonstrate proficiency in engaging in discussions and debates within the realm of green economy;

- hone their skills in working with diverse materials from multiple sources, enabling them to craft analytical reviews on specified topics;

- excel in researching, gathering, and synthesizing factual information;

- draw insightful and well-founded conclusions;

- provide a comprehensive characterization of key parameters and emerging trends within the field of their scientific interests.

Category of listeners: persons having secondary professional education, having/receiving higher education, who speak English at least at Intermediate level
Labour intensity: 36 / 72 / 144 / 216 academic hours, it is possible to study on an individual programme
